Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
By using Scentd, you agree to these terms. They're meant to keep the community honest and the lights on — nothing sneaky.
Your content is yours
The reviews, ratings, burn logs, shelves, and requests you post belong to you. You keep ownership of everything you write. By posting it on Scentd, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, display, and share that content as part of running and promoting the service — so your review can appear on candle pages, in browse results, and wherever else Scentd surfaces community opinions.
You're responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- Spam. No bulk posting, fake accounts, vote manipulation, or review flooding.
- Shill. No paid or undisclosed brand promotion. If you have a relationship with a brand — you work for them, you got the candle free, you're being compensated — disclose it clearly or keep it off Scentd. Reviews here are supposed to reflect real, independent experience.
- Abuse others. No harassment, hate speech, impersonation, or illegal content.
Enforcement
We want Scentd to stay a trustworthy source of candle opinions. To protect that, we may remove content, edit or reject candle requests, and suspend or delete accounts that break these terms — at our discretion, and without notice when we need to act quickly.
The service is provided as-is
Scentd is offered “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Ratings, throw scores, and approximate prices are community estimates, not guarantees — always double-check price and availability with the retailer before you buy. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for how you use the site or for decisions you make based on it.
Related policies
These terms work alongside our privacy policy and affiliate disclosure. We may update any of them as Scentd evolves.
